Description

The house sparrow can be seen a lot in Dutch gardens. The male and female are different from each other. The male has a gray cap with reddish brown sides, gray cheeks, gray lower body and broad white wing stripes. The female is light brown, has a striking eyebrow stripe behind the eye.
